University is an investment. The time and effort that is put into a degree will benefit you for the rest of your life. For those students who have a hard time meeting the financial requirements, OSAP is available for those who need it. OSAP (Ontario Student Assistance Program) enables students to meet financial requirements by providing them with a student loan. The following blog gives the basic information about OSAP
In order to be eligible for OSAP a student must be registered in full-time studies, with a minimum 60 per cent course load. The student must be a Canadian citizen, permanent residence, or have protected person status. The degree program must be OSAP approved; most degree programs at York University are eligible. The most important factor in determining eligibility is a student’s financial need. This is calculated by OSAP, and helps determine who is eligible.
OSAP has also approved a number of certificate programs at York, which enable the student to receive OSAP funding. The following certificate programs are:

They must also submit OSAP forms to York University as well at the Bennett Centre for Student Services. The forms will be available to print from the OSAP web site. Students will be notified of their eligibility. Once you receive your degree students will be expected to repay their loans.
